Changing your character class in Aion 2 is a great way to explore new combat styles, try out different group roles, or simply refresh your gameplay without losing your level progress. Thanks to the in-game Aion Look system, switching between the 8 primary classes—Gladiator, Templar, Assassin, Ranger, Sorcerer, Spiritmaster/Elementalist, Cleric, and Chanter—is straightforward if you know the right steps and tricks.

Here’s everything you need to know to make a smooth transition.

Core Class Change Process

Travel to a Major City

Class changes are locked outside safe areas. Before doing anything, teleport or walk to a major metropolis. Trying to switch while in the wild or inside a dungeon won’t work.

Access the Aion Look Menu

Open your main system menu, click on Aion Look, and select the Class Change option.

Select Your Target Class

Choose the class you want to switch to. Each offers a distinct role and combat style, so pick based on your preferred gameplay or team role.

Select Equipment for Conversion

The game will prompt you to select which equipped items you want to convert to your new class. Some gear may not be usable with certain classes, so pay attention here.

Equipment and Resource Tips

Use the 5 Free Conversions Wisely

Aion 2 gives you 5 free slots for gear conversion. Prioritize your highest-value items like main weapons, armor sets, and essential accessories.

Prepare Extra Quna if Needed

Converting additional items beyond the free slots costs Quna. Check your in-game currency before committing to extra conversions.

Clear Inventory Space

Converted gear is deposited into your inventory. Make sure you have enough room to avoid lost or delayed items.

Critical Pre-Change Mistakes to Avoid

Test the Class on an Alt First

If possible, level your target class on an alternate character to around 25–30. This helps you understand the skills, passives, and Stigmas before committing valuable resources on your main character.

Align Your Class Choice with Playstyle

Group/PvE Focus: Tanks (Templars) and Healers (Clerics) are always in demand and make it easier to join groups.

Solo/Speed Farming: Gladiators and Sorcerers excel at AoE damage and fast clearing, making solo progression more efficient.

Be Ready for Skill and Stigma Resets

Changing class resets skill enhancements and Daevanion points. Consult a reliable build guide for your new class so you can reallocate points immediately, maintaining your combat effectiveness.
